Backside Radio is a Berlin-based collective and streaming platform trying to revolutionize the way people experience electronic music. Founded in Italy, it quickly rose to prominence on the underground music scene. By broadcasting live podcasts twice a week from their Neukölln studio, Backside Radio fosters a network for artists and enthusiasts who share a passion for underground electronic music. With over 100 diverse artists, they are home to all genres and subgenres, promoting inclusivity and diversity in electronic music. In addition to streaming, Backside Radio builds connections, collaborations and talent discovery. It has become a meeting place for like-minded people to explore the top of the underground scene. Backside Radio's journey represents a commitment to pushing boundaries and artistic expression. Paolo Tirelli and Giannis Kalomoiris are the people responsible for the administration and ownership of Backside Radio. Giannis joined the project as manager and director in October 2022 and works together with Paolo to manage and design the innovative streaming platform in Berlin. Her project invites listeners to experience the magic and creativity of the underground while supporting diversity, community and artistic freedom.
