About the event
"I constantly have the urge to look at the moon."
When Meikel accompanies his friend Eddi on his bizarre hunt for meteorites in the Berlin area, he has a bad premonition: it would not be the first time that Eddi's chatter has turned Meikel's life upside down. But Meikel would never have thought that this would be just the beginning of a chain of unforeseeable events that would re-examine the boundaries between entire worlds. On his journey, he can never be sure where the greatest danger comes from: his drug addiction, the ghosts in the former trendy club, or the profit-hungry members of the dentists' association. Sven Pfizenmaier's humor and precise observations are as spectacular and surprising as meteorites on earth. You increasingly ask yourself: who is telling the story here? And who is really the chatterbox?
Sven Pfizenmaier was born in 1991. His novel "Draußenfeier die Leute" won the aspekte Literature Prize for the best debut of the year, the Kranichsteiner Literature Prize of the German Literature Fund and the Literature Prize of the State Capital of Hanover. Sven Pfizenmaier lives in Berlin.
