ABOUT PLASTIC PRODUCTIONS

Plastic Productions combines the connecting power of live performances with the socializing aspect of a social event and the exhibition space’s aim of putting art at the center. The unique combination makes the events a platform for connection, communication, and collaboration for both participants as well as the audience.

Each event uses a theme as a starting point. From there we invite a selection of artists and creators from different fields to explore the topic through interdisciplinary collaborations.

We believe that by sharing experiences, a bond is established between the audience, the performers, and the artists. As the evening develops, so do the connections. And herein lies the magic.

With Plastic Productions we want to make art and culture dynamic, alive, and approachable. Through breaking with standard formats of presentation, we want to showcase the beauty of the unpredictable and create experiences that lasts beyond the scope of an evening.

ABOUT KANTASTIQUE

Kantastique is a drag show and baby of the drag queen Karlie Kant, which regularly takes place in Keglerheim Neukölln.

Born in 2020, Kantastique emerged in a pivotal moment for live drag events. As the summer approached and lockdown restrictions loosened, many drag performers still saw their regular venues closed. This meant that there was a desperate need for alternative venues and new drag show formats.

Partnering up with the Neuköllner Eckkneipe Keglerheim, Karlie Kant hosted her first Kantastique in June 2020. Since then many editions took place, events - with all in all 32 different performers. It also has served as a debut stage for several drag performers.

Kantastique captures the very essence of Berlin; a place where straight and queer, glamour and trash, darts and drag, Hertha and Highlighter, all blend together into a crazy, wonderful mix.
